To me, trip planning is at least a quarter of the fun!  I think I’m a frustrated travel agent – hint, hint to anyone who wants to offer me a job.

The best resource for on-line research for me is Trip Advisor.  I use it alone or with a travel book like Lonely Planet.  Reading and researching, surfing and emailing – ah bliss!  I do a lot of reading before I start to come up with a tentative itinerary.

I often wonder if I would have enjoyed planning quite so much before the days of the internet?  Google anyone?
